From 17th to 18th March, 2018, the 5th International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (English) was successfully concluded at the China University of Political Science and Law. After three rounds of fierce battles, the representative team of Henan University Law School stood out among the many participating teams and won the second prize.
After the first round of domestic selection, a total of 25 college teams from across the country were selected for the live competition of the mock court. In the end, our team was impressed by the judges and other teams with fluent English and a solid legal knowledge reserve.
The school's members of the competition include: Law School's 2014 undergraduate student Wang Yuanhao (coach), law school 2017 graduate student Yu Jie, law school 2015 undergraduate students Yang Shan, Ai Mengyao, Sun Fanyu, Yu Yuanliang.
This is the first time that our school has participated in the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition. Through this competition, the participants of our school have benefited a lot, not only broadening the academic horizon, but also improving the ability of case analysis, literature retrieval, court debate, and the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing in legal English. It has also laid a solid foundation for the future competition.
